What you do in Mini Miner
Each screen of the app, mapped to the step of mining it performs for real.

Each screen, each step#
The app opens in a simple view: your number, the start of your hash, the leading zeros, and after each try a verdict in plain words (no block this time, how many zeros were missing, and how long your device would need on average). The Advanced info switch, at the bottom of the console, shows everything else: the full hash against the target, the workers, the live hashes, the count of leading zeros, the difficulty and the extranonces. Your choice is remembered on this device.
| Screen | What it does for real | Concept |
|---|---|---|
| Home page | Shows the pool’s live candidate block | Candidate block |
| Manual tab: Nonce | Puts your number in the header and hashes it | Nonce |
| Manual tab: Hash / Target | Compares your hash with the real target | Target |
| Automatic tab | Hashes on every useful core of your device | Global race |
| Demo, boosts, Premium | Automatic mode: free 15-s demos and two 1-min boosts, then no time limit | Orders of magnitude |
| Details: payout proof | Shows that the block pays your address | Reward |
| Session history | Every automatic session, its speed, its best hash and its leading zeros | Target |
| My profile | Sign-in, payout address, Premium and invoices, blocks found and their confirmation on the chain | Reward |
Your payout address#
A block found from your browser pays the address you give, written into the block itself. Three ways to give it without retyping it: Connect my wallet asks a browser wallet extension (Xverse, Leather, Unisat, OKX, Phantom) for its receiving address, and nothing else; Scan a QR code reads the receiving QR code shown by a phone wallet; Paste takes it from the clipboard. Mini Miner never creates a wallet, never sees a recovery phrase and never asks for a signature. No wallet yet? The guide suggests Xverse, BlueWallet or Sparrow. You can change the address at any time in My profile; blocks already found stay paid to the address in their coinbase.
The live candidate block#
Mini Miner connects to a solo mining pool over Stratum, the protocol mining machines use, and receives the block the pool is currently trying to mine: the transactions, the previous block hash and the target. Your browser rebuilds the 80-byte header exactly as mining hardware does. When the network finds a block, the pool sends a new candidate and the app switches to it.

Manual: one attempt at a time#
Type a nonce, or press Random. The app inserts it into the header, computes the SHA-256d and shows the result above the target, character against character. The gauge counts the leading zeros you reached against those of the target; the verdict is the numerical comparison.

Automatic: your browser as a miner#
In the Automatic tab, Web Workers hash on the cores of your device, each on its own extranonce. Max is calibrated on your machine: workers are added one by one until another one no longer adds throughput. Only one window per address mines at a time, so two tabs never compete with each other. With Advanced info on, the Details panel shows the extranonce1 the pool gave your session and the extranonce2 each worker is on (see when the nonces run out).
While a session runs, the browser tab shows its clock: the countdown of a demo, a boost or a timer, or the time elapsed. The session is saved every 20 seconds and once more when the tab closes: it appears in your history as interrupted, with what was done, instead of being lost.

How the reward would be paid#
The reward is not paid later by Mini Miner or by the pool: it is written into the block itself, 98% to your address and 2% to the pool. Because your hash covers that split, it cannot be changed without invalidating the block. Before you mine, your browser reads the candidate block’s coinbase and confirms that it pays your address; if not, mining is blocked.

Technical details
The check uses the same code as the coinbase decoding of block 969,985: parse the transaction, turn your address into its output script, and look for an output that pays it.
What Mini Miner does not do#
- It never holds funds and never generates, sees or stores private keys.
- It never promises a gain. Probabilities are shown before any purchase.
- It sells neither bitcoin nor hashrate: Premium is access to software features.
